Description
As an accent exotic species, Australia’s Lacewood somewhat resembles figured oak. The heartwood is light reddish-brown with a signature decorative fleck (lace), ranging from lace-like patterns to large splashes. It is commonly used in high end custom furniture and increasingly popular with makers of custom electric guitars, especially bass guitars. Once extremely hard to come by, Lacewood has been in steady supply in recent years due to its growing use as a shade-tree in coffee plantations throughout the world.
